After a few years of testing the waters with prices and payment methods, I've settled on what works well and thought writing it up here for your reference may make things easier.

When will I get my art?
Commissions are completed in the order I receive them, unless I can't get in touch with you to confirm the job, in which case I may skip ahead a slot. I will send notification if there's any problem or delay and will offer a refund if things are taking much longer than expected (you will still keep your slot in my queue).

How and when should I pay?
Please send the payment as a gift through paypal and include your screenname or the name of the character you're commissioning in the notes. ( [link] ) My paypal is eyestrain89 at gmail.com.
I prefer if you pay as soon as I tell you I've begun working on your commission. If it's the first time you've commissioned me, I may not start work until your payment clears.  Small revisions are free after you have the finished image, so if something is off, let me know and I'll take care of it.

These are discounted, and 30% of the profit is donated back to Tale of Tales to keep the forest online. Note that if your deer's appearance is much different than that of the in-forest design, it may be counted as an OC instead as studying the design and accurately rendering the details takes more time.

General/OC commission prices: (as of 5/20/12)
Base price is one (fullbody) character with no background. We can discuss portraits/busts/waistups/etc.
sketch: 7$
pencil drawing: 30$
rough painting: 30$
clean painting: 50$

+ background is +10$ to 35$
+ extra character is +15$ to 25$
* for a sketch, extra character is +5$ instead
If the design is very complex or there is high detail I may ask an additional 10$ to 20$; I will tell you in advance if this is the case.

I can also do graphics (logos, tattoos)  and would be happy to work with you designing a character. Price for this will be established on a case-to-case basis.
